What we are doing: the Overview and Outcome
At a pastors conference in Bangladesh, the trainer met a man who introduced himself as “Pastor Islam.”
“Eight months ago,” the man said, “I was a Muslim. Now I’m a pastor!”
From elsewhere comes a report of a pastor who told his congregation to climb trees to see Jesus, because that is what Zaccheus had done. In another land, a pastor did not know Jesus had promised to come back.
Large numbers of the world’s pastors (90+ percent) are untrained and therefore serve their churches with limited fruitfulness. Further, they are unconnected to each other and minister in isolation.
The Global Proclamation Commission (GProCommission) is a ten year (2010-2020) human capital campaign to provide better training to more pastors where Christ’s Church is rapidly growing--Asia, Africa and Latin America.
By connecting, uniting and strengthening pastors, the GProCommission enhances their ministry to accelerate church health in order to deliver spiritual health worldwide.
100,000 better-trained pastors and 20,000 more pastoral trainers ministering in 200 countries by 2020.
With connections, training and resources, large numbers of pastors will be strengthened to preach the Bible, train younger pastors, and disciple their congregations more effectively. It will help fulfill our vision of changing the way One Billion Individuals think and hear about the Lord Jesus Christ.
