The Role of the GProCommission for Trainers of Pastors

The GProCommission serves alongside Pastoral Leaders, Pastoral Trainers, and Pastoral Training Organizations and Institutions

1I am a Pastoral Leader

  • what are the benefits of being part of the GProCommission?
    • An invitation to join a unique and dedicated community for pastoral trainers and pastoral leaders through GProConneXt.com, a secure online portal for connections, sharing encouragement, and resources.
    • Access to GProLearning, a website with thousands of free, downloadable and electronic resources
    • Awareness of pastoral training events in your part of the world.
    • A monthly newsletter with curated blogs
    • A GProCentral colleague assigned to encourage and pray for you
  • Why does the GProCommission cite 200 countries instead of 190+ countries?
    • There are 190+ nations that the United Nations recognizes as sovereign nations; but there are more than 200 (240) nations and territories; not including the thousands of people groups and languages. We use the 200 for sake of convenience and also because about 25 of the wealthier countries in the world are not within our primary orbit; many are secondary and have not much need for resources, except for new immigrant populations. To read further regarding the numbering of nations please see link.
  • Wow! From what I have read, this seems like an exciting endeavor. How do I become part of the GProCommission?

  • The GProCommission collects, tracks and reports pastoral training data. What do you use it for?
    • The data reported through our tracking efforts reflect a joint-outcome of:
      • (1) the progress toward goals submitted by delegates of the 2016 Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers,  and
      • (2) the trainings conducted and reported by those pastoral trainers (individuals, churches, organizations and institutions) who have since become part of the GProCommission effort.
    • The GProCommission seeks to capture in statistical form and for strategic purposes, the number of pastors being trained by various pastoral training initiatives until 2020 in an effort to shed light on and provide more wisdom for future training efforts. By analyzing the data we collect, we hope to show variances and forecasts on the following language and regional performance:
        • Pastoral training patterns
        • Better practices evidenced by key indicators
        • Resource performance
        • Community of interest effectiveness
        • Emerging key success factors and/or improvement of existing activities
        • Cross-pollination opportunities, etc.
